Primary Practice Areas
Rebecca Wager, Associate Attorney, practices exclusively in the areas of matrimonial and family law. Prior to law school, Ms. Wager worked at St. Bonaventure University as an Assistant Director of Residential Living, where she oversaw a campus community of 1,500 undergraduates and counseled students in academic, emotional, and social crises. Her work in the area of campus sexual assault led her to pursue a career in law. Ms. Wager interned at Copps DiPaola Silverman, PLLC throughout law school, and attributes her growing knowledge of complex matrimonial and family law issues to her mentor, Partner Lorraine R. Silverman.
Ms. Wager is a board member of Strong Through Every Mile (STEM), a local non-profit that empowers survivors of domestic violence and women recovering from substance abuse disorders through the sport of running, where she continues to volunteer as a running coach.
Ms. Wager also devotes her free time to The Legal Project’s Uncontested Divorce Clinic, where she currently assists in training new law student volunteers to serve the community by providing pro bono uncontested divorces.
Ms. Wager attended and completed Basic Mediation Training at the New York Peace Institute in September 2019, which is approved under Part 146 of the New York State Unified Court System’s Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs, and is working toward completing her Mediation Apprenticeship.
