Kayla MolinaroKayla Molinaro, associate attorney, practices exclusively in the areas of matrimonial and family law. She has extensive experience representing individuals in the litigation of separation, divorce, custody, child support, spousal support and domestic violence matters.

Prior to joining Copps DiPaola Silverman, PLLC, Ms. Molinaro’s private practice focused exclusively upon the representation of individuals in divorce and family law matters. Ms. Molinaro worked at another boutique family law firm in the Capital District, under the continuing mentorship of Attorney Silverman, devoting her time to the representation of clients in a wide array of complex matrimonial and family law matters, with a special emphasis on contested custody and domestic violence cases.

Prior to private practice and during her time as a law student and recent graduate, Ms. Molinaro was selected to participate in the Kathryn D. Katz Fellowship Program as a second-year law student. This experience afforded Ms. Molinaro the opportunity to begin honing her trial work in the family law arena as a law student and recent law school graduate while assisting the poor and working poor of the Capital District.

Ms. Molinaro provides educational trainings to fellow attorneys who wish to volunteer at the Albany County Family Court Help Center, and she has also provided educational trainings for the community on topics such as “LGBT Domestic Violence,” “The Ins and Outs of Child Support,” and domestic violence sensitivity trainings. She currently serves as a panel attorney for The Legal Project’s Domestic Violence Legal Connection and Reduced Fee Matrimonial Program, and is member of the Albany County Bar Association, Capital District Women’s Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association Family Law Section, the Schenectady County Bar Association, and is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Capital Region Italian American Bar Association.

Originally from Kingston, Ms. Molinaro currently resides in Niskayuna with her partner, Greg, and their two dogs. Kayla is also a Gymnastics Instructor at The Little Gym.

Ms. Molinaro received her J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from Albany Law School, where she received the Martin H. Belsky Graduation Prize for Commitment to Public Interest and The Capital District Trial Lawyers Association Prize. While in law school, Ms. Molinaro served as an Associate Editor for the Albany Law Review and is a member of The Justinian Society. Ms. Molinaro received her B.A. Degree in Political Science from The University of Connecticut.
